Cam Edwards is talking about yesterday’s Senate vote banning federal funds being used to confiscate firearms during emergencies and reports that Kerry voted against it, then he came back in and changed his vote to support the ban.
I see his new campaign message theme in 2008:
In 2004, I voted for it before I voted against it. But now I’m on record voting against it before I voted for it. Now will you vote for me, please?
UPDATE: I should clarify that I link to Uncle because he’s got background info on the vote to explain it, but I got the Kerry info from NRA News – a site I could have linked to, but it would only be good for the info for the weekend.

Senate passes limit on gun confiscation during disasters…
The Senate yesterday voted for the Vitter Amendment, an appropriations rider prohibiting use of federal funds to confiscate guns during a natural disaster. It now goes on to the House. Vote was 84-16. You’d wonder that the 16 didn’t even……
