Cleaning House

November15

I can tell that politicians have learned so much from this election.

[This was a bit from a story about Mike Huckabee's gift acceptance problems and the fact that he set up registries for gifts once he left office. It was removed with the link because of overzealous and questionable legal actions against bloggers by the publisher. I'd love to fight it since the quote was square use, but we have a Hawaiian vacation to plan.]

What’s the point in this?  The guy was governor and he’s been setting up house with his wife for more than 30 years.  I would hope by then they would either have a freaking mixer of their own or could at least afford to buy one for their home.  It may be technically legal, but it stinks.  It’s just one more reason people will feel just fine bailing out on the GOP.

    WTF was it before?

Ken – it seems to be something that allows fewer reasons for divorce.

As far as Huckabee goes, the really bright side is this guy is being floated as a second-tier/save-us-from-Rudy/McCain candidate for president. That of course means he’ll be on short lists for Veep.

    cripes.
