When It Hits SNL, It’s Not Funny Anymore

Don’t know what you’re talkin’ about. If you know anything about Nancey Grace, that was hella funny.
Mildly amusing at times, but not really funny.
I know quite a bit about Nancy Grace and the rape accusations. Neither one is funny anymore. Not that the accusations ever were, but her quest to hang everyone without evidence isn’t amusing.
I found it mildly humorous, until the end where SNL’s real motive was made clear. To associate this travesty of justice with people people of religion. That’s when it was no longer funny.
I think the “it’s not funny” criticism misses the point. Political satire is not meant (primarily) to be funny. It is meant to be critical. Nifong deserves to be mocked, to be disbarred, and to be prosecuted. The mocking has begun.

I guess I need to bold key words for some readers.
The “not funny” part has nothing to do with the skit or SNL, but the fact that an elected official has helped a bitter woman legally harrass and discredit a group of young men who didn’t do anything. That is the tragedy in this case, that the very people being groundlessly attacked by Nifong for his personal political gain are the same people paying his salary and to whom he is supposed to be accountable.
Isn’t it interesting that the false accuser is portrayed as a white evangelical with a southern accent. A very New York-ish perspective on things, eh?
Where on earth do you get that, marco? The white evangelical with a southern accent is supposed to be Nancy Grace, not the accuser. And she’s mocked that way because she is that way. It’s not a NY view at all.
