Everyone I Know Is “Really, Really Stupid”

April20

This, according to David Twersky of the American Jewish Congress. See, everyone I polled yesterday and today (about a dozen people) who are all reasonably well educated did not know that an octopus was representative of anti-Semitism. Honestly, we all thought it was just a creature in the ocean. I’ve seen the cover and I didn’t pick that up at all from the cartoon.

Add me to the really really stupid list.
I’ve only seen it used to represent the monopolists and the Trusts of the 19th century.

I have a Jewish friend who had no idea the front cover of his copy of America’s First Freedom was anti-semetic.

I’ve seen the octopus used for so many people/organizations that I don’t even remember all of them.
