Ho Ho Ho – Your Christmas Gun List

November18

greenstocking-larger.jpgChristmas is quickly approaching. The cooks in the family have done their shopping with Thanksgiving looming, and the shoppers are already doing their stretches for their sprints down the aisles on Black Friday.

In the gun world, the hunters have their rifles sighted in, and the shooters are…well, dreaming of what Santa may leave in their stocking.

So, with that in mind, I have a challenge for you all:

If the Santa in your family could fill your stocking with some gear or one gun, what would it be?

A few rules:

  1. 1. If Santa’s bank account isn’t unlimited, then Santa’s gift for you should reflect that to a reasonable degree. As I told Sebastian, when he makes his pick, he can assume that I maxed out a card for him and he’s buying dinner and groceries for the next year, but he can’t pick something which would require a loan or the sale of my car to finance.  Same applies to you with your personal Santa.
  2. 2. Your stocking can fit a reasonably sized rifle. A tank, no, but a rifle, yes.
  3. 3. Only one can fit in your stocking, even if it’s a tiny little handgun.
  4. 4. Gear is also acceptable, within the same limits listed above.

When you put up your post, send the link to me at Bitter -at- thebitchgirls -dot- us, and I will post them all as a collection on Black Friday. Maybe your Santa will get inspired. You can always claim that you weren’t dropping a hint, just participating in a gun blogger “game.”

A genuine Red Ryder Barret rifle…

…Except it’ll just shoot everyone’s eyes out. Or rather, their hearing.

    Or

    Saiga 12 Ga.

    Either one would do.

I’ve been good. I mean if I get one of these for x-mas I promise I’ll be good for the rest of the year!

Hey Dave, want to go shoot one? I have a .17HMR Savage 93R17 that is a sweetheart of a rifle. You’re more than welcome to join me at the range and through as many rounds as you can stand through it.

    You can’t keep it though.

Oh, you don’t have to give grandpa Thunderbolt anything. I’m just happy the whole family is together for the holidays.

Well if you insist, just pick something cheap from my Master List, but nothing too expensive. You work too hard to spend all that much on an old man. A .22 Revolver would be fine. Or a nice used Double Barrel 12 gauge.
