Off to the Mountains
As soon as Sebastian finishes getting his guns organized, we’re off to our now annual winter camping trip. This time we’re staying two nights instead of one. However, we’re much better off this year thanks to the ever so thoughtful Christmas gift of a 2-person -25 degree sleeping bag. As we learned last year, single person bags don’t let you huddle for warmth, and 0 degree bags only keep you alive at 0 degrees. They do not keep you warm.
No obviously related posts.

Actually, I’ve never had a problem with my 25 degree bag keeping me alive at around 0 degrees. On the other hand, I can’t imagine a -25 sleeping back keeping you warm either. IMHO, a good sleeping pad is more important than a good sleeping bag for warmth… oh, and having someone to cuddle up to is even more important.
Some sleeping bags can be combined together to form a large, two-person bag.
1) Temperature ratings for sleeping bags are like gas mileage ratings for cars. Individual metabolism will affect how warm you stay.
2) When on snow, the pads (even the 1 inch foam jobs ) are critical to staying warm.
3) Although a large tent is a wonderful thing, smaller tents can keep you warmer in the winter.
4) Wear a hat while sleeping. You are not at a fashion show.
A two person sleeping bag… does that mean… engaging in mixed dancing someday? I am so staggered that I must further engage ethanol before the shock fully sinks in. Not a waltz, I hope. Look at what it did to Ludwig the Mad.
Best of fortune to the young1
I’ve had down filled sleeping bags with inner and outer bags so warm that you nearly had to get out of them to cool off this is a link to perhaps the best collection of guns and pistols on the net..http://www.theothersideofkim.com/.
