“Palin is inhumane,” Says Chicago-Area Resident

August31

I would ask if it’s wrong to laugh at this letter, but I’m not going to ask because it’s not when its funny!

Palin is a hunting and firearms zealot who wants Alaskans to shoot bears and other irreplaceable wildlife species.

She’s a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a horrible choice for vice president by John McCain.

I think that’s part of her appeal, Brien.  After reading that, I feel like as a lifetime member of the NRA, hunting advocate, and firearms zealot, I should make a business card.  I could be cool like Sarah!

    THE BALLAD OF SARAH PALIN
(Sung to the tune of Davy Crockett)

Born in the northern part of Idaho,
Destined for fame, she just didn’t know.
Learned to hunt and fish, even in the snow,
Never was one to just go with the flow

    Sarah, Sarah Palin,
    lady from “The Last Frontier.”

Moved to the North before she was one,
Landed in the “Land of the Midnight Sun.”
Beautiful and strong, she likes to have fun,
She always works hard, but her work is never done.

    Sarah, Sarah Palin,
    lady from “The Last Frontier.”

With her five kids and a man named Todd,
They carved out a life eatin’ moose and cod.
Alaska had some waste and a lot of fraud,
So she went to work and laid down her fishin’ rod.

I hereby move that the Republican campaign theme song be ‘Barracuda’, by Heart. Let the record reflect this.

I couldn’t laugh, I was crying way too hard to laugh. That was funnier than funny.

The sad thing is, that guy thinks he just put a dent in Sarah Palin’s numbers. “That’ll show her!”

He would do well to remember what I keep telling myself–in Illinois, you do more by giving money to a campaign to be used in a state that will actually matter. Nobody’s going to campaign here. We’re in the bag for Obama. Other races, sure, but there’s no way Obama can lose here. What’s the point of letters to Chicago papers?

They don’t get that there is a reason she is McCain VP candidate and not Obama’s. She is exactly the type of woman that can break some stereotypes and raise a lot of support

But remember, NRA can just stop all involvement with the campaign. Right?*

*For anyone who didn’t read it before, I’m giving Nancy a hard time since she believes every gun owner in the US just magically knows that Obama doesn’t like guns and NRA can now sit out of the campaign.
