Ground Game, Folks
I’ve mentioned before that regardless of how much money McCain raised post-Palin announcement, Obama had months of strong donations to build up a war chest, and much of that has been staff on the ground. For those of you in any swing state, if you don’t want Obama signing in a permanent gun ban, you can’t just say you’ll vote for McCain, you’ve got to take at least one extra step. Why? Because I’m sure announcements like this one have been made in your state, too:
Once again, the presidential campaign of Barack Obama is planning a massive, coordinated opening of field offices throughout the state Tuesday, highlighting the campaign’s still growing footprint in Pennsylvania.
The campaign will have grand openings for 35 offices across the state today, bringing its total to 65.
65! That is freakin’ huge. And that’s just his campaign field offices, that doesn’t include any local DNC offices. In Pennsylvania, McCain is mostly having to rely upon the state GOP offices.
So, if you’re on board to vote McCain, go ahead and take that extra step. Put out a yard sign. Put on a bumper sticker. Give a few hours of your time between now and November to do some phone banking. Spend one Saturday going door-to-door. Put up another yard sign at major intersections. Put them up along the road near gun clubs or shooting ranges.
