Smart PR by InBev
In order to take over Anheuser-Busch, InBev had to do some serious PR work. It was the end of family control for an American company. However, InBev made a pledge to keep North American breweries open, including the St. Louis headquarters. But there’s a catch…
InBev has promised to keep all 12 North American breweries open as long as the company faces no new U.S. taxes.
Considering the move to the far left by the House leadership, the increased Democratic presence in Congress, and the tax-loving President-elect, I think we can expect new taxes for a company as large as InBev. So now they get to close breweries, lay off American workers, and we can thank Barack Obama for it!

Speaking as one who has taken advantage of Anheuser-Busch’s Hero Salute campaign every year I was eligible, I have to admit to some degree of disappointment to see the American company get taken over by an overseas entity.
This new revelation, however, only serves to add insult to injury. My father-in-law is convinced that America is turning into a service-industry-only country, and while he might be right, I completely doubt that the transition will be easy, painless, or enjoyable – or worth it in the end.
