One Good Thing…
Sometimes it can seem tough to find things to be thankful for this time of year. While there are the big givens – a roof over our heads, family, friends, etc. – there are also the little ones.
Take today with a high that did not break freezing. I am absolutely against this kind of weather so early in the winter. Sure, it’s December, but these are more like January temperatures.
However, when I was out running errands and randomly picked up some bison at the Wegman’s, I became very appreciative of the freezing cold. I could leave it in my car as I ran errand after errand all afternoon without worry. When I brought it inside the house about 4 hours after setting it in my car, it was still as cold as when I pulled it off the shelf at the store – in fact, a little cooler.
Oh yeah, and I’m thankful for the Mac being a more stable system so that the windows I have open for more serious posts on things like changing consumer behavior & the religion of meat stay open even as I put off the posts for another day.
No obviously related posts.

I’m from southern Oregon and we just thawed out from an unusual week long freeze, the temperature shot clear up to 36 and I have to admit that I don’t miss the teens at all. I do however appreciate the way you have chosen to see the positive side of a seemingly negative situation. Who would have thought picnic coolers could also be used to keep stuff from freezing??
